about catalyst

how did Catalyst begin?

CATALYST opened its doors in 2016, driven by a deep passion for hospitality, exceptional coffee and an unwavering commitment to quality. At our heart is a dedication to fair trade and fostering meaningful relationships with sustainable coffee farms across the globe.

At CATALYST, we roast in small, carefully tended batches, bringing out every delicate note and nuance, honouring the artistry and hard work of coffee producers who pour so much into creating beans that taste extraordinary.

What makes catalyst unique?

What sets CATALYST apart is our innovative approach to creating only unique blends by pairing two or more single origins, a craft we proudly stand alone in offering here in London.

We are deeply committed to making a difference. By supporting coffee-growing communities in need, working exclusively with fair trade practices and ensuring our packaging is fully recyclable, we prioritise sustainability at every step. Even our deliveries are made using electric vehicles in partnership with a B Corp-certified company, because at CATALYST, we believe great coffee should do good in the world too.

Our new site in Enfield, situated in an industrial area, will give us the space we need to grow while opening up exciting opportunities to expand our research and development techniques. Additionally, we’ll be creating a workshop space where people can come and experience first-hand what we stand for.
